Basically, what we're working on is fairly dependent on what we feel like
at the time. Some of the bigger projects under development:
Well, there's really a lot going on, although we don't ever have enough time
to work on it as much as we'd like to (we have real jobs to pay the rent
until this really takes off and makes us bazillionaires, or until pigs fly,
which ever comes first). If you have any questions or suggestions, or are
interested in helping out, please contact us at the address on the homepage.
- Basis Set. This is the foundation of
the system, and is getting relatively close to complete. We've
just gone through and reworded a lot of the old text, and the result
is now available. The largest areas
remaining are the skill descriptions and races, which we are working
on now. Also, the combat system will soon be expanded to actually
use a bunch of stuff we have always sort of thought should be in
- Fantastic Horizons. This
supplement is basically a magic system, more races, and a few
skills. Magic is about half done, races are coming slowly (we have
over 20 so far, but would like many more than that), and the skills
are not really there yet.
- The fantasy world of Kyrdalm.
The map is well under way, with the continents and archipelagos
all laid out. We have the plate tectonics mapped out, so that we
can determine where mountains are likely to be, and elevations have
been added to about half of it so far (three of the eight continents,
and one island chain). We've added some lakes and rivers (these
neccessarily follow the elevations), and the political boundaries
for the first continent have been mostly determined.
We are in the process of getting advice on details such as the likely
vegetation and weather patterns that will be caused by the geography, from
people who know this stuff better than we do. We are also looking into the
physics behind having two moons. We really want to get this stuff right.
Kyrdalm is also inspiring a lot of writing in the areas of history,
society, language, religions, and so on. We are trying to evolve these
areas simultaneously, so that they are all properly influenced by the others.
Plans are to fully develop two or three of the continents, partially develop
a couple more, and leave the rest mostly to the GMs imagination.
